Sci-Fleet Hino at the 2025 Brisbane Truck Show Event
The 2025 Brisbane Truck Show ran from 15 – 18 May and attracted 54,790 attendees. Hino Australia were proud to participate under the theme Driven by Innovation, Powered by Sustainability featuring Australia’s only light-duty Hybrid Electric truck showcasing a variety of applications, our 700 Series heavy-duty vehicle along with the unmistakable Hino Sports Deck.
WHAT MADE THE HINO STRAND UNIQUE?
Reinforcing Hino’s commitment to sustainability, stand 61 featured a variety of the light-duty 300 Series Hybrid Electric Euro 6 range, which delivers up to 22% in fuel savings and emissions reductions with no range or recharge restrictions.

TRUCK RANGE ON DISPLAY
Hybrid Electric Recovery Vehicle
Hino 300 Series 916 Hybrid Electric Wide Cab with a Kyokuto Single Car carrier body, which acts as a recovery vehicle in the Hino-sponsored Repco Supercars Championship.
“It uniquely allows the tray to slide off the back of the vehicle and can perform loading work at almost any angle down to zero degrees,” said Mr Emery.
Hino 300 Series, Dutro Z-EV
Making its Australian debut, Hino were pleased to introduce the zero emissions Hino 300 Series, Dutro Z-EV walk through van that featured an ultra-low floor and 50kW electric motor mounted under the cab which drives the front wheels. Hino President and CEO, Richard Emery reinforcing the Dutro Z-EV was not a launch nor a model introduction. This model is currently participating in a real-world trial program in Australia to access its potential operational capabilities and viability for Australian customers.
Hino 300 Series 716 Tipper and 616 cab chassis
The tipper is currently a prototype for the Hino range of 300 Series Built to Go Hybrid Electric factory Tipper models, that will be added to the Hino model line-up by the end of 2025 and available to customers.
700 Series SH1845 4x2 Prime Mover
No stranger to events, the Hino Sports Deck was on full display for visitors to enjoy. A purpose built 40ft shipping container converted into a mobile fan zone, with an upper and lower deck that is on display at selected rounds of the Repco Supercars Championship races.
700 Series FY3036 Tilt Tray with Crane and ROPS
On loan from our Sci-Fleet Hino customer - CST Hire (one of Australia’s leading truck rental companies) the 700 Series FY3036 showcased the heavy-duty special-built Tilt Tray with a mounted Crane and ROPS (Roll Over Protection System). This truck demonstrates the versatility of real-world fleet solutions that are designed to handle the tough Australian construction and mining environments.
The Hino Stand also encompassed an Information Kiosk - an interactive touch display - allowing customers to view info on the Hino product range, Hino-Connect our telematics system, view spec sheets, plus an online calculator to estimate your fuel savings with our online Hybrid Electric Calculator.
