15 years ago Will joined Sci-Fleet Hino as a Sales consultant and over that time has worked hard within the business developing his Sales skills and expertise to become Fleet Sales Manager.
Will’s hard working nature and passion for his job is evident in all he does. He sees opportunities for his customers and the possibilities that a Hino truck can create for their business; “The wonderful thing about selling trucks is in most cases they begin life as a cab chassis so that allows you to build anything you can dream of”.
The care he shows for his customers is proven through his ability to connect beyond the sale of a truck. Visiting their place of business or being present when customers take delivery of their truck is an important part of the job; “I like to show my customers that I really do appreciate their business”.
A key Sales tip? He says being personable is key to his success and finding common ground with his customers and even though products evolve and the market changes one thing is for certain, you need to believe in what you’re selling; “If you don’t have confidence or believe in what you’re selling, the customer will see straight through you!”
His favourite part of the job; ”The different people you meet along the way and the places it takes you. I’ve had some customers for nearly 15 years and have seen some of their businesses grow from humble beginnings in their backyard to becoming multi-million dollar enterprises. It’s nice to have been part of that journey and to see their confidence in the Hino brand”.
